That is textbook trolling, my friend. Textbook. Saying something provactive, and but only because you want to elicit a negative reaction is trolling. Saying later that you didn't mean what you said is even further proof.

As for the statment Leress is making, I beleive he is talking about the fact that you still don't get why people are mad at you. You may think that people are unjustified in criticizing you for you're ignorant username, but the thing is, they are justified. You said that OmniNegro was chosen when you were young. Okay, youth is full of ignorance that is later removed by age. That's alright; when I was young, I used to call people, in my innocent ignorance, [EDITED]. (I was about six).

Since you keep going on about the "actual meaning" of negro, I thought that I should say this. The actual meaning of [EDITED] refers to a pile of sticks used for burning. But, nowadays it is an intensely offensive slur towards gays. Once I learned this, I stopped using the word.

You should've stopped using that name once you realized that Negro does carry negative connotations. It doesn't matter what the word means to you, or what it used to mean. Common usuage has evolved the meaning of the word. The first result on Google is Wikipedia's fucking page about the word being a slur. Unless you're Spanish or Portuguese, you have no excuse for using that word and not realizing the meaning it conveys. If you have learned what the word means, then you should have stopped using it, regardless of whether or not it's "habit", which is bullshit anyway.

Unless, of course, you never learned that it's offensive, in which case you are an idiot, the definition of which is a "mentally deficient person, or someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way." In which case, why am I even trying.

edit: Also, I believe wikipedia had done it's part in shutting up trolls. You just keep refusing to give up.

I actually said that very clearly on the other forums that I am frequently on. In the end I was told there is no use of that word that is acceptable.

But here is the problem. Once you ban every word commonly used, you live in a Ninteen-Eighty-Four'ish nightmare world of unwords and newspeak. I would rather tolerate words I dislike than live in a world where your expression is so heavily monitored and censored that you cannot say anything except that everything is "Double-Plus" good.

You guys may disagree. But once it applies to you you will suddenly change your mind. And you will certainly deserve the Hell you carefully built for yourself.

As for me, I will have to watch what I say, but my thoughts are my own. And I freely admit I retain both the knowledge of and the usage of the words you choose to disregard.
